Cincinnati, OH: A local toddler thinks she spotted her mother in a Celexa television advertisement yesterday. “That’s you mommy!” she said, glimpsing an unrelated middle-aged woman with messy hair and bags under her eyes looking sad on TV next to dirty laundry.
The flattered mom noticed that the ad subtly recommended women take medication if they don’t feel good about doing housework and that middle aged women without makeup look either sick or depressed.
“I realize I spend most of my time looking depressed, but I’m really fine,” said the mom. “I just hate the energy that people expect you to put into looking like a normal lady every single day. Also, I hate laundry.” There was no comment on why the toddler was watching a daytime talk show when the ad appeared.
